Tips for installing artificial turf

1 - Apply mesh geotextile

First apply the mesh geotextile, overlapping the edges about 20 cm, and nail him to the ground, to prevent us moving.

2 - Extend the artificial turf

Extend the rolls of artificial turf, taking into account the direction and the direction of the fibers are alike respecting (never put pieces of lawn by changing the direction of the thread, as this will cause unsightly color changes). On the edges we want to join, we will extend the Union Band.

3 - Apply glue adhesive

Tail applied directly from the tube (possibly applying on the belt or on the rear face of the lawn), creating a bead diameter of about 5mm. If desired, you can spread the glue with a trowel to prevent overflow to put the pieces of grass. Join the lawn, creating a unique piece. Be very careful not to mount the ends or leave them separate, because that would cause that binding noticed boards of those pieces.

4 - Cut profiles

Cut with a cutter profiles and if necessary to anchor an end to the ground with pegs. Brushing against the grain to lift grass yarns and get a fluffy appearance.

5 - Silica sand weighting

ONLY: For Decograss SPORT (which require silica sand ballast): Extend the sand so as to cover half of the yarn (about 10 Kg of sand per m²). Distributed with a stiff brush, by getting reciprocating motion is uniformly spread over between fibers.
